Visit at Ivison Guitars

I had the opportunity to cross the Atlantic and visit Ivison Guitars (Neil Ivison and his colleague Paul). We finalized the specs on a TV Yellow Dakota One that is partially built, and talked a lot about guitars and grab a delicious pub lunch. Neil is as personable and knowledgeable in person as he is online, and his colleague Paul is very expert too. Can't wait to get this guitar in the next few months!

His shop smells glorious - the woods and the nitro room! He also has a rare stash of sawdust to die for!

I already own a couple Ivisons, so I'm already sold on his quality. Having been in his shop, I'm even more of a devotee.

Well worth the trip for me to come to the UK from America for this visit. The UK guitar community has a gem in Ivison Guitars. Give Ivison a serious look for your guitar needs.

I came over specifically to finalize the specs for this Dakota One - most importantly the neck profile. Rather than shipping back and forth to the USA.

Here are five Dakotas at the visit yesterday (all sold, by the way). He said I was the first international visitor to his shop.

3 hanging in the paint booth yesterday - 2 bursts and a goldtop.

The left and right are bursts, with the right being more flamey as Neil explained to me.
