Honestly.. his precision is just breathtaking, as is his sense of melodic harmony.
IMHO he is peerless.

Lovely. I’ve been impressed by other stuff he’s done, but this is the first thing I’ve heard of his that I’d actually like to listen to on repeat/learn to play.

I can think of plenty guitarists as precise (Barrueco, Paco, Grisha) and some as inventive (Lage, Frisell, Metheny) but perhaps no one with that exact combination.

that was beautiful.  His shredding is incredibly impressive but this is wonderfully musical.   What a talent

This is beautiful. I prefer it to the version on his record, which has some lovely playing but the production and style aren't necessarily to my taste.

He is one of those guitarists who has passed me by slightly. I had the feeling he is a youtube-er who doesn't release music in a way that I know how to interact with. I've seen a few clips of him online and thought he was a great player, but really that isn't my way of consuming music. After listening to this I have just consulted the streaming service of my choice and found a record (The Journey) which has some pieces on it I enjoy. The title track especially is great. His shreddy stuff isn't for me, but that's cool. He is undoubtedly great though.
