I can’t take credit for it I’m afraid. Think I got the idea from someone on AGF

Yes, another few days should do it. Hopefully I don’t overshoot and end up having to replace the pickguard to let the body catch up. It’ll end up like the episode of Friends where Ross goes to the spray tan booth.

I’ve been lucky that the guitar was only manufactured in October last year, was sold in December and then back at TFoA in about April. It showed no sign of having been played so may have lived most of its life in a case.

Ok I may have become a bit obsessive about this so I took a break, but progress continues. If anyone is still interested here it is after two and a half weeks:

I can't get rid of the picture in my head ....

I see this pretty little parlour guitar sitting on a banana lounge near a palm tree close by the hotel pool soaking up ultra-violet goodness from the sun and sipping on banana daiquiris. After two and a half weeks it's getting a pretty decent overall tan, but don't overdo it - too many more of those banana daiquiris and it will come back home looking like a jumbo.

Having said the sun is out but we’re being sensible with a hat and plenty of hydration available. 

BTW you seem a little obsessed with bananas?

The revolutionary external corrugated bracing adds a depth to the tone than even a crystal lettuce cannot match...

It had a brief break from tanning whilst I was catching rays myself but after a day in the sun yesterday I’m going to let nature take its course and play the damn thing!
