The 1960s produced so many great films worthy of mention, but Dr Strangelove trumps anything, from almost any decade.

The 1990s produced very little that was memorable. I hunted through half-a-dozen "top 100 90s movie" lists and couldn't find anything worth mentioning. Eventually, Mrs Tannin reminded me of Babe, which was good fun.
