Arthur Gaps Hendrickson of The Selecter. Part of the original line up with a two vocalist approach with Pauline Black. The band has existed on and off since the late seventies although Gaps only became a permanent member again in 2010. I understand that Gaps had been living with cancer for a while but still managed tour dates in 2023 with Jools Holland. Always a massive bundle of energy and sweat and smartly dressed so I imagine he had huge dry cleaning bills. I don’t know anything about his personal life and can’t even find his age online (late sixties I guess) but there will be a lot of 2Tone and ska fans who will be saddened by this news. RIP
