Deluxe Reverb Baffle Replacement

The baffle in my deluxe reverb needs replacing so I thought I'd share the process in case it's of any use to anyone :-)

I did the same thing to my super reverb years ago as it had a big crack in it when I bought it, this will be a bit trickier though as it has the dripedge trim. I'm hoping by copying the exact dimensions of the original, transferring the grill and trim shouldn't be too hard.

Luckily, I had a spare 1x12 baffle from a 2x10 cab I'd made so it was pretty much just a case of removing the grill cloth and cutting down to size. It's the same 12mm thickness as the original and made from birch plywood. I just had to rip down some 6mm strips for the borders to hold the grill cloth off and to attach the fender logo. The original measures 566mm x 336mm x 18mm.

Here's my progress so far. Next job is to spray it black then it's ready to do the transfer.
