I have a Morningstar MC6 PRO that I wish to add a double aux switch to purely to change bank up and down.
I have a basic soldering iron and a bright onion double switch that I don’t use.
the advice from Morningstar is the foot switches need to be momentary non latching and normally open.
Are these those?

I originally thought if I just changed the switches in there for these then it may work:

WRONG !

The schematic which has an optional 3rd switch shown is this:

Which is just gobblegook to me.
Can anyone tell me in very simple language what switches and socket I need and how to wire them together please ?

TIA.

    Those are the right switches. Just ignore SW3 and the two 1N4148s. Simply replacing the switches in the unit you have with the non-latching ones will work.

    I reckon if you plug the bright onion one in it'll work, but you'll have to press the footswitch twice.

    If so then you can indeed swap the existing ones for those momentary ones.

    The diodes are I think only needed to add a third switch to a TRS cable.

    Thanks both. So far that’s exactly what I’ve done and it’s not working.
    Possibly something to do with settings in the Morningstar.
    Life is complicated ! :)

    @Sporky & @ICBM. Thanks again - You were right, I hadn't changed/programmed/set up the mid switcher correctly.
    All working now.
