Record your solo over the top of it and then submit it (ideally in mp3 format) to solos@theFB.co.uk

Also, feel free to comment on how you approached the solo, which will add a bit more interest and maybe we can learn something from each other.

There should be headroom to record your solo. Try to set a level without excessive master limiting, because we want to avoid loudness wars.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point

The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.

No prizes. It's just for fun.

Note that the Soundcloud download button doesn't work any more. Does anyone know why this might have changed?

In the meantime, I've given a separate download link to the backing track, just above the Souncloud window.

Yes it seems to work for me. Are you signed in theo Soundcloud? Or does it still work for those that are not signed in?

Tried it in incognito mode...SC wants you to be signed in for downloading.

Thanks, I think they've changed things, so I'll have to keep using a separate download link for those that don't have accounts.

Nice track, haven't got any ideas yet, might be a v late entry from me

Sent one in. 

Gibson SG Standard.   
I set guitar neck volume to 5 and played for ages until something popped out.  Then in post, dialled down the patch gain as much as I dared and set the delay to tempo, then compressed it with an inch of its life and finally added a touch of eq to lift it from the grave.

I never really listen to any music vaguely like this backing track so found it tricky to get off the starting blocks.   Good challenge though for me.
