In London today for a few hours - any of the natives know of any good guitar shops near Euston Tower / Warren St tube station? Thanks
Seemed like a good idea.....

Walk down tottenham court road to denmark street (or take Northern Line to Tottenham Court Rd station). Usual caveats about Denmark Street apply. Or there is Ivor Mairants on Rathbone Place.

I was in central London yesterday. I felt sad when I remembered what a brilliant day you could have looking at music gear back in the 90s. The London experience is about 10% of what it was.

I think Denmark Street is a waste of time, these days. There are better places to visit in London unless you want to spend hours looking at overpriced shite.

Hobgoblin on Rathbone place.  Just off Tottenham Court Road (to the west).

Not just guitars, and few/no electrics, but all manner of wonderful stringed instruments, and more besides.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

Substitute "70s" for "90s" and "porn" for "music gear" and you have an accurate assessment of Soho these days.

It's funny people still say this. Depends on what you're after, but a lot of new Fender gear matches, or is even sometimes cheaper than internet prices. Vintage is another thing altogether though and are very overpriced.

Indeed, I remember asking the price of a little modelling amp in Regent Sound (it wasn't marked), the guy told me and said he didn't think they could do any lower, which was fair enough as it was actually cheaper than online.
