People really do collect the dumbest things. 

OK, each to his own, free country, let he that is without sin cast the first stone, all that stuff, but if you are allowed to collect it, I'm allowed to laugh. 

My nomination: The Ovation Guitar Collectors' Club.

Yes, really! Personally, I'd rather collect turds. They's look better, sound better, crack less in dry weather, and never slip off your knee unexpectedly. 

All other suggestions for dumb collections welcome.

So far I have 001, 003, 006, 007, 008 and 010.

I had a mate that collected sit on floor buffers.
He bought one that was broke to fix up
and sell as a profit.  Then he bought one for spare parts to get one good working one.
He never got round to it, but seemed to enjoy buying more, in the hope of future profits.  Eventually he just liked buying broken sit in floor buffing machines until eventually, he was in double figures.
