Looks a bit advanced for me, I'll wait for the Duplo version.

A Lego American Standard Pro Series Elite Ultra II announcement must be imminent then.

How can lumpy old lego hope to emulate the smooth curves of a Strat I wondered?

Obviously they can't - looks hideous.

It's bloody good for Lego. The only thing I'd have changed is to make the jackplate more obvious

The amp even has valves and circuits!

These are licenced by Fender, thus legal.

Even if you take it apart and reassemble it :).

The amp is quite cool actually,  that's a lot of detail!

i remember when these first came out and thinking they really whiffed the guitar but clearly nailed the amp (even if the open-top thing isn't accurate it is still very cute)

My in-laws bought me this for Christmas a few years back. It's good fun, sits in pride of place next to my (*ahem* Marshall) amp.

The detail's a great laugh, there are even two or three 'picks' that you can put on top of the amp.

    How much does it weigh?
I see they moved the volume knob slightly away from the bridge pickup, which is a good thing, but I wonder how well the trem stays in tune with those pleat-wound strings.  The locking tuners should help.

Any good for playing Prince’s ‘Lego Crazy’?
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Just don't try to sell it here when you get bored of it.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

    Early December last year.

You should have a red guitar, she said.
    I don't need another guitar, I can't play those I already have.
A red one would look nice in the stand with the blue and green ones
No, I should continue with the lessons for now
What about this nice red one, she said, pointing to a red Gibson LP for about £2.5k on Guitar Guitar's web site. It was lovely.
No, it would be wasted  on me.......no more guitars please

25th December - a red Lego Strat and Princeton amp arrived!

it was my first foray into "grown up" Lego and I really enjoyed putting it together - the detail is impressive.

I've not looked but I bet you could get a decent real guitar for the same money.

I think he was using the Pensa-Suhr not the red Strat by then.

    ;)

    She'll do!

Since the guitar, Mrs Chris has gone on to complete a big red double decker bus (Thanks to Pete and his bus YT channel) and a great big lighthouse, complete with a rotating light.

Meanwhile, I'm still taking lessons and trying my best to make a tune on a real guitar.
