I just took delivery of one of these courtesy of @GIJoe of this parish.

Looking forward to playing around with it.

Might even have to buy and iPad to play harder!

Oh, and I get a free algorithm...decisions decisions...

I really like mine. So many mental sounds in one box.

I like it more for the harmoniser and mod sounds than the verbs.

I love the Hall Reverb, Crystals, Shimmer - yeah, I said it - ModEchoVerb......oh screw it, they're all awesome :-)

I shall study and try a few algorithms before choosing my free one and maybe even buying a couple.

I'm looking forward to big Beck-esque reverbs, and some EVH harmoniser/phaser action.

Set up a new istore account dedicated solely to the H9 with a transferable email addy, and then if/when you come to sell it, deauthorise your card, change addy details and pass on the account and the algorithms.  Simples.

FX Loop for me. I just love the sounds and the IOS app makes changing things a doddle.

From reading your posts, I know you're more of a 'FX in front of the amp' guy, but my H9 in the loop gives me pretty much all that I'm after.

Well part of my "final final final rig" involves delay and reverb in the FX loop, possibly a noise gate too, so I'm not quite done yet. But I also think I could replace my Nova Modulator on the 'front of amp' board and use the midi from the Decibell 11 switcher to change presets on the H9. That would allow me to do all sorts of modulationy and filtery goodness in front of the distorted amp.

Are the preset changes on the H9 instantaneous?

Ahhhh.. bit annoying that the midi ports are on the side. Coz I'd need to use the midi out/thru on the H9 to go to my control switcher.

Without being stupid, could you just turn the pedal around or are there other ports that would then be in the wrong place for you?

I'm not sure it would fit. I could move it to the far left side of the board so that I've got access to those ports, that'd be fine since all my pedals connect to the switch dr along the front anyway. For the time being I'm going to get comfortable with the current setup and will look at an H9 in the new year.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm still deciding where to put mine in terms of final location - I'll only work that out once I've used it more in anger and work out how much I need access to the buttons at a gig.
