New Jack White Album

Looks like he's just sent out a load of records to subscribers of the vault, with no context, just saying "no name" on the record. Also selling some in the third man records stores in America and London, alas I'm not in London so no chance of getting one just yet.

Hopefully a more conventional release shortly!

Didn’t think we’d be hearing anything so soon after Kyle Liquid made those comments about Biden.

YouTube suggested the whole album to me this morning. So far so Rock.

Yes he was encouraging the people who received the vinyl record to rip it and share it, i've grabbed a few copies and will see which one is best but will obviously purchase an official one when it's actually possible to

Definitely more in line with his pre-solo styles than any of his other efforts I think, can hear a lot of White Stripes and earlier Raconteurs influence in it, maybe a bit of Dead Weather at times with the vocals. Doing what he got known for - primarily guitar drums and vocals with bits of organ here and there

I've just listened to a vinyl rip from top to bottom. It really is rather good. I liked The White Stripes etc but they were a side issue for me at the time.

Back story : My late Dad was a massive Quo fan, I got us tickets to see them at a pub in Ipswich, unfortunately he wasn't well enough to travel due to cancer.

Multiple times when I drove a long way to see him, we would go out for something to eat then drink a lot of beer, then go back to his to watch some of his recorded things. Three of these were The Proposition, Bad Taste and The White Stripes at Glastonbury. He got me in the end... RIP Ken.

I'm still unashamedly obsessed with White Stripes (hence my profile avatar). Assuming it's the 2005 Glastonbury one, it's a brilliant set marred only by some idiot with a klaxon horn and the usual massive flags in front. There's an audio bootleg of their 2002 set at GLastonbury as well but that's not one of their more impressive moments

It was indeed the 2005 one. I'd forgotten the horn!
