Thanks. I like a good equinox; I actually really like the feel of the year with its solstices, equinoxes, and the cross-quarter days.  These have long marked my way through the years.

Rather counter-intuitively, during summer the length of the day (the amount of daylight) decreases during the season, and in winter the length of the day increases. Seem strong but that's the way it is....

It would have to have have perfect balance & get lighter the more you use it past late September.

It's all downhill now until until late December.  I hate autumn and winter with a vengeance so the clocks going forward is what I look forward to.

I have long known about the impact of latitude on daylight hours, having lived in the Western isles and also in Southern England ... but this article provides a few more specifics.
