NPD: Boss OD20

I picked it up for £50 from denmark st, I got the impression the store guy wanted it gone in a hurry because it says COSM on it and digital dirt isnt exactly popular with guitarists.

I figured I'd give it a go, might be good for a lark and have a few good sounds in it,

Thoughts so far:

Sub octave modelling is pretty bad.

The klon setting is my favourite so far, I've never played one or a clone but its a pretty versitile OD from clean-ey to raunchy, quite tempted to just save all the memory banks as variations of it and it'll be worth what I paid for it.

The rat however is tragically awful, it has a nasally quality like its been messing about with a metal zone, unlike real rats which get fuzzy when turned up this one just gets more nasal.

The tubescreamer sounds like a tubescreamer I guess.

I prefer the octave fuzz to line 6's attempt at the same model.

The HM2 model I was interested in because I used to love the band HUM, its a pretty good sound that lends itself well to walls of angry sludge, and it changes VERY drastically depending on where the treble and bass knobs are set.
