I bought a new Macbook Air last week from Jigsaw24, who I've given loads of business to in the past through my old biz. (like networks of business)
So, I was shoving some stuff on eBay earlier, and I looked in my trash can for a photo- there was about 100GB of deleted files- from music to PS3 games to PPT files.
In the meantime, I've spent a good 5 hours configuiring my new machine.
What outcome should I hope for? Jigsaw are normally very good.
My suggestion will be that they refund me to the 2nd hand value of a similar machine (eBay being the price arbiter) which would be roughly an £800 refund.
What's best to do?

Last week?
send it back, get a new one.
I would contact them (proffesionally) and ask for a refund and get an actual new one. What warranty do they offer, or did they not specify?
I've spoken to them- it works in my favour that I've bought about a dozen macs off them over the years.
They are normally excellent too, so surprised.

They swear by Jigsaw and usually they're cheapest and have bundle deals + they've a working relationship with Group 8 for network installation.
As I say, Jigsaw have been brilliant up until now- they're also being very apologetic and contrite- but no offer yet.
( @Paul_C LOL awarded!!)

You paid £200 for an apology? That seems pretty steep to me. I'd have given you a tearful sorry and a hug for a fiver. You need to start shopping around more.
Still, 600 notes, happy days!

I've been told numerous times in the Apple store that they're more likely to do out of warranty work for free if you bought the item from an Apple store than a reseller.
