    No reply to my earlier phone call so I've called again to be told that it's now considered lost in transit and they've got no stock.

    Order cancelled, now I've got wait for them to sort out a refund. . .

    Not John Lewis's fault as such, though they did choose to use Hermes, who are the cretins who've lost it.

    Weeping Demon arrived today, taking two days to get to me from Germany :)

    John Lewis still haven't phoned me as promised to let me know they've succeeded in refunding my payment (there was an issue due to its uncertain location in the system). :(

    The replacement present is on the way :)

    The end to the sorry tale is a full refund, plus a £40 apology - I shall have to buy a pedal or something and wrap it up as a Xmas present from John Lewis to me :)
