. . . hopefully :)

Postie should be bringing me a shiny new delay pedal, with presets and all sorts of exciting possibilities.

Which one, you say?

all will be revealed, if it turns up :)

    argh! the agony!

just spoken to the postie who tells me he's got a couple of parcels for me, but they're on his van and he'll drop them round in 20 mins or so.

as I've got a few Xmas things on the way too, I won't know until he arrives whether it's one of them :)

    (it's not a Timeline or a Joyo)

I don't, he was delivering letters and I was getting the recycling bins in.

Postie returned with two parcels, one a present for my missus, the other a . . .

    Vox Delaylab

I did consider a number of different pedals, @monquixote 's hassles with the Echolution put me off that, and while I'd have loved the FTT Flight Time, I couldn't afford to spend that much on a whim (or a pedal). I nearly bought an EQD Afterneath, but when that fell through I decided I couldn't justify the price of a new one, so settled on the Delaylab.

  • Yes, another member of the club, I really like mine.

There were a few owners on here who liked the sounds but not the tap tempo functionality.

    Congrats!

    I thought I had a custom special one for a second ;-)

Its a brilliant pedal. Hours and hours of fun, then some more...
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
