Here's the stupidest question you'll have had about this amp...and one of the stupidest I've asked anyone recently....

How much quieter than the 30w Bad Cat is this?! You are most welcome to reply in a Nigel Tufnel-esque "Well, it's 15 quieter isn't it??"....

But in the real world application, as you and I know, the Bad Cat's are notoriously underrated in their output power (my 30 watt Black Cat is more than capable of matching a 50w Marshall) so I was just wondering if this would be more like a 20+ watt combo in use?

    Cheers, Neil

@miserneil - My Lightning wasn't that much quieter than my DC30.  It' 'feels' something like 3/4 of the volume, the main noticable difference was the comparitive lack of headroom, but there wasn't much in it that either.  I'd imagine the Bad Cats to be similar.  Do the Black Cat's have a 15 watt mode?  If it cuts half the output tubes (as opposed to triode mode which I dislike) I would imagine you getting the same sort of comparison.

My 15 watt Lightning is WAY louder than my Traynor YGM3 (through the same cab) which is pushing 25 watts (allegedly) and probably more when driven.

@miserneil @dodge is right in his description. The main difference is in the headroom rather than volume. My reason for sale is that I need that headroom
