Everyone always forgets the main Jap brand of that era.

    THE brand.

    You know, begins with "K"

    ;)
First guitar I played that I loved was a Kawai Aquarius in the local music shop about 1981.
The shop in question was about 60 seconds walk from where I am now - now sadly a taxi office

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
Stockist of: Earvana & Graphtech nuts, Faber Tonepros & Gotoh hardware, Fatcat bridges. Highwood Saddles.

Pickups from BKP, Oil City & Monty's pickups.

There is one on ebay at the moment, quite a fetching colour, if it was cleaned up a bit.

Also, there is a moinsault on there... Mmm...

They do pop up from time to time.  The Aquarius would be quite a nice buy at anything up to £150ish.  It's on my watch list as it's collection-only and not a million miles away.

I know (of) the guy selling the Moonsault.  Tbh, unless you're a Kawai collector, I wouldn't bother with one of those.

  • Yeah, it looks like a nice piece.

I don't know what I think of the moonsault. It's bonkers. I kinda love it just for the sheer... Glam of it.

Very nice! You'd better send that shonky LP back from where it came... ;-)

It may happen "Snake"... Snake: is that the trouser variety! Drop round for a diddle, but don't bring Snake, he and I won't see eye-to-eye.
Sounds like a plan! I'll come, but I'll leave the pant python at home. Looks a beaut!

It's a quality guitar (and bonkers), but it's impossible to play sat down.  And, given their values nowadays, you really don't want to be gigging it ...

Very nice, here's my 76 2618, a great guitar but the neck is a bit skinny.

I had a late 70's Artist which looked very similar, although mine had a small toggle switch near the control knobs. Every day I regret selling it.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....
