Sorry, recommend me an acoustic.....

What's Hot
Ok, still trying to sell my Yamaha, looks like I should do ok on eBay ... which bring me to the question , what to replace it with...

I think I'll be looking at about 600-700 to spend, I'd ideally like fully solid woods and if electro a really lightweight electronics unit preferably with no controls..

I was looking at Taylor's but it seems that I may be able to get more for my money? ..

Mainly for strummy stuff, but I 'd like to improve my finger picking ...

My 00-15me martin is all mahogany and has electronics with no controls...great guitar, if you can find one secondhand it would probably be in your price band

    +1 to Stonebridge/Furch.

If you go used you should be able to get an exceptionally nice one.
Get it without any electrics and get someone to fit either an under saddle or underbridge pickup (or do it yourself, it's pretty easy), and get an outboard preamp.

Ordinarily I'd recommend the ooo 15m without a second thought; mine I stunning, BUT it's more a finger pickers guitar not much of a strummer. Look out for the d15m, I've seen them go regularly for about 6-700, they're just the dread version of the all mahogany Martin series but they're great guitars with lovely overtones.

Also I'd really second Stonebridge/ Furch. There's an all solid dread on eBay atm which would really be a great guitar with budget to spare for a piezo or whatever your electronic preference would be. :)

Yeah I'm watching the stone bridge, there's also a Lakewood with repaired crack, any good?

I personally wouldn't buy an acoustic unseen with a crack, even if it's been fixed. A good fix will be absolutely fine but there's no easy way of telling the quality of the fix. The Stonebridge would be a great buy. I spoke to the sellers a while back and they seemed really friendly too.

I think it might be Gabriele Alpin that plays the above, obviously her voice is pretty good, but some of the guitar parts on the 'English Rain' album (finger picking and strumming) sound fantastic.

The Sigma 000r-28V is pretty darn impressive at £400.
