Six dead in Glasgow by all accounts... :-(

It looks like the driver was unconscious.

What the fuck is it with bin lorries ?  There can't be that many of them on the roads and yet it appears they are crashing into people left right and centre !

That part of town is always busy enough, never mind the week before Christmas. From the photos its travelled really far up the road too---a few blocks.

Really sad news. Just horrible.

Was it not only a month or so back that a bin lorry driver had a heart attack at the wheel and crashed into a load of cars an crushed a colleague?

Very sad and just a few days before Christmas.  RIP.

---I don't normally use Sky News either but had the misfortune to catch it earlier today. They were interviewing a woman who had witnessed it, and she told them she had seen a pram hit by the lorry. They then pressed her for details. That gives you an idea of their exploits this afternoon. Absolutely zero sense of decorum or dignity in their reporting or journalism. 24 hour rolling news has a lot to answer for. I doubt the other channels are much better.

Bloody awful thing to happen at any time much less now, after last year this is just too shitty.

They are saying the driver was slumped over the wheel and at least it looks so far to be a horrible accident rather than malicious, small comfort only really.

My thoughts are with all their friends and families.
