Not exactly quick off the mark as I only just discovered who he is and the vast amount of stuff he has done.

Getting into Jackson Browne big time and I believe he did the intro to Driving Wheels by Jimmy Barnes (Cold Chisel)

But his version of 'Beneath the Vast Indifference of Heaven' I can't stop listening to, so I bought Big Twang off his website.

He is ace, want to see him next time I am in USA.

He's a great player. I used to play in a band with a guy who idolised him - and therefore endeavoured to play lap steel on as many songs as possible.

Regrettably his intonation wasn't in David's league and his tone was fingernails-down-blackboard.

Put me off lap steel for life....

Saw him and Ry Cooder doing a duo tour sometime in the 90s. Superb.

I saw him with his own band in the late 80's, great show!  He had about 20 vintage pawn shop cheapo guitars on stage with more knobs and pick ups than you would believe and he made each one sing.  But the loudest thing on stage was the shirt he was wearing, wow, Hawaii on acid.
