Got a bit of xmas cash and fancy picking up something for my pedal board but cannot decide!

Current pedal chain goes:

TU-2>Bad Monkey>DS-2>Digidelay

I like to keep things minimal and have narrowed possible acquisitions down to the following:

  1. Nano Big Muff after the DS-2
  2. Soul Food(had a SF before but pedal chain was much longer and it never got appreciated,I would drop the Bad Monkey out and put SF in that spot)
  3. An extra delay (thinking DD7 or flashback) and run 2 delays, something I have never done before.

  • You need a good muff! But, for the sake of reliability, consider getting one made with a different bypass system or not made by ehx.

Juansolo is an expert on all things muff, but plenty of builders have several versions. :)

Then, you'll be ready to be John fru. Watch off the map for muff solo tones and slane castle for ds-2 ;)

How about one of the EHX multi effect pedals - Epitome, Tattoo, Turnip Greens etc. Some contain the pedals you've mentioned and more.

Tempted to invest in a "proper" pedalboard now.

The piece of foam has had a good run!

  • How about a compressor? Guitarguitar are doing the 2 knob Keeley for £129 right now which is an absolute billy bargain

Where's your wah? You need a wah.

Buy a zoom ms100bt and buy the bass muff add on for £1.49 and then you get delays and particle reverbs and phasers and filters. And it's blue!

  • Sorry, but all your options are wrong. You're missing a phaser.

Im with this fella. You need some colour to your palette not more dirt.
Get some sort of modulation or mentalness
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
