NGD: Epiphone AJ 220s

Solid Sikta Spruce top, satin finish neck. Very impressive for the bargain basement price.

Looks ace and doesn't seem to have any finishing flaws. Typical dark stained fretboard which needs cleaning off and oiling, same with the bridge.

Action at 17th fret is 3 mm bass, 2.75mn treble. No string buzz unless you really dig in. You don't have to fight it.

True to new acoustic form it sounds "tight" to me, needs to be played, but still a full round sound and quite loud. Seems quite defined between strings

Hopefully I'll get more time on this than the Yamaha Electro I had. I think the Yamaha played easier but it's designed to.

Looking forward to learning some proper full acoustic songs rather than playing strummed versions of the electric songs.

    It has a lovely finish to it, I have been blown away by the recent Epiphone acoustics, they have come on leaps and bounds the last few years.
