You can use it as a standard drive box in front of the amp, or into the FX return to bypass your amp preamp, or into the PA.

The EQ is very powerful and it really does sound like a 5150 (I did have a 5150iii 50W to compare with)

I've only used it into the front of an amp and it sounds excellent.

Mine is in excellent condition and has only been used in the house
