Lovely firm breasts - not too big, not too small, and long tasty legs.

Pheasant it was and it turned out it was a cock, so no I didn't go there, though I did put my fingers up his bum and rip out his heart.

too seedy?

I'm a bit peckish now after reading that.  Wouldn't mind getting something hot inside me to tell you the truth.  I'm gonna make a cuppa.

couple of fields over from us is a bit of a shoot and they tend to lay down a goodly number of birds each year. Last year we had a fair few pheasant wander over from there to us, and were gratefully bagged by yours truly. Not had one this year yet, wonder if they're giving that shoot a rest and gone onto somewhere else. Getting lots of pigeon this year though. Pan fried pigeon breast (fried in bacon fat) is fantastic.

I'd never eaten game before so it was a bit of a taste sensation to me. Also it was the first time I'd prepped a whole animal (apart from trout), easier than I expected ... the pulling the skin off bit which I was dreading was actually over in a few seconds.

How did you dispatch the ones that wondered over to your place? Shoot 'em, or grab 'em and break their necks? I fancy having a go at shooting this year ... Kill it & Grill it.

shoot them (though they are so dumb you could almost grab them). As a rule I generally take my gun with me when I'm working up there, mostly in case of zombies or strangers but it is useful for bagging something for the pot.
