Just look at the 600. Before the druggies took over you had Cliff Richard and Hank Marvin. Then you had Hendrix, Keep, The Beatles, Zeppelin, Sabbath, all coming from scenes that were fairly drugged.

The blues and jazzers were all over the gear before the 60's though....(this helps your point though as they are > Cliff/Hank)

See, I bought into the whole bollocks of adding a bit of spice to the creative aspect, for a very, long, time. Then I realised I talked more about music than played or listened to it. Then I realised all I did was make phone calls and go on endless driving quests and while music was there, it did become just something I did alongside getting utterly mashed conatantly.

Much happier now I got back into playing more again these days and writing/making better stuff.

Saying that, I was more prolific and played way more gigs back in the day....

Or you're on SSRIs. I didn't have boner problems when I was with my ex (just libido, I was with the wrong partner), but when I was on a certain tablet, I went at it for three hours. Half of that was like tossing pizza dough.
