After failing in 2014 to spot either PANSTARRS or ISON, made harder by being in London, I've decided to get hold of some binoculars. Of course, now it's going to be raining for the rest of the week.

I had a good look on Saturday night - lovely clear sky full of stars, but couldn't clearly make it out just by using my eyes.

He was probably being 'entertained' by Lady Jane...

Sorry. When I read the thread title old McShane and his mullet was the first thing that came into my head. Real child of the 80's me. 

And yes I tried looking for the comet but I think light pollution defeated us on this occasion.

I was still quite young when that was on and it always baffled me what it was about.

Anyway, success! Just about, took some finding and even with binoculars from here just a fuzzy spot.

For comparison, those two bright stars it's passing by about now (13th) are barely visible from here with the naked eye. Happy with the binoculars though, Pleiades look amazing.

Is that where it is? You've no idea how long I was trying to find it!
