Hey, sorry, I only just saw your response. I think I prefer the tone of EL34's over EL84's so it's a tone thing really. The Badger 18 has plenty of volume on tap for gigs so that's not really an issue for me.

Cool mate. Thanks for the insight. Been trying to decide which model to get myself. Like the idea of the 18 with tube rectifier but I like to play loud...:) my current amp is an od100

I demo'd the 30 against the 35 and ended up with the 30...amazing amp. You'll probably be able to sell your 18 and pick up a 30 for little cost if this trade doesn't happen
