Where do you buy furniture at not arse-plunge prices that doesn't make your house look like an IKEA show-room?

I got some nice, and very solid, stuff from Oak Furniture Land. They're one of those places that has a permanent sale on and never actually sell anything at the so called "rrp". Good quality gear though.

Antique shops that don't have real antiques. Sometimes you get solid stuff that has timeless style, you just have to go through a lot of overpriced 'budget' crap to find it.

IKEA. If you choose judiciously, it's fine. It's usually the accessories (wall pictures, lamps) which scream "IKEA." Come the revolution, every house will have a Billy bookcase.
