What's the cheapest way to get Microsoft Word for windows 8.1?

I only need word none of the other gubbins.

I already have open office but I need to open and edit a massive document that was written in word and I don't want to have to re format the whole thing.

Can you use the online office stuff for free? Maybe as a trial?

Otherwise finding someone with a corporate account offer is your best bet. We have that where I work but I've used mine otherwise I'd offer!

If you've got a hotmail/msn/outlook account then you can save it in your livedrive and then use the basic microsoft online word editor (assuming there's no particularly funky formatting). Otherwise do you work for a company that supports the microsoft home user programme where its about £10 for office?

You can pay £5.99 a month for it. I had to for doing my CV. Pay for one months use then cancel the subscription.
