No velcro board

I don't do pedal boards (when i use fx, i'll use one or two, if needed), but if i did, i might use something like this. No velcro on the pedals (a pet hate of mine when buying 2nd hand). Nothing worse than an ad saying "completely mint....has velcro on bottom."

That clip explains how great it is but tells you sod all about how the hell it works.
Do you have to drill screw holes into your pedals, do you use chewing gum to keep them in place, are those clamps magnetic, is it magic?
Come on give us some idea.

The moving parts look about the same width as a standard right angle jack though.

They look like maybe they could be suction cups which doesn't strike me as a very reliable alternative. I'll stay with dual lock velcro. You could pick up a bus with that stuff.

Just super glue it all down.

Acts as an anti GAS incentive then!

    Velcro comes off, right?

Leaves a bit of sticky residue, remove that with a solvent.

    Where's the problem?

  • I just buy a load of blank bottoms, and swop them over. Simples.

Fairly simple. The little black bits slide along the rail. You slide it up to either side of a pedal and screw to secure it. Unscrew and it slides along again. At least this is how i imagine it works.

    I've seen this before,

It's trying to answer a problem that isn't there as far as I see. There are many other easier/cheaper methods of avoiding velcro (paint tape being the obvious)

However, I hope they find their market and get success, the more pedalboards the better imo, it just isn't for me

WIll add too much spacing between pedals for me. Will likely create a problem with some pedals with jack and power supply connector on the side.

Forces you to have a neat, ordered pedal board. Best bit about having a pedal board is having pedals all over the place and at angles, then watching other guitarists wince when it isn't all neat and tidy.

On a [slightly] more serious note can see fuzz faces being awkward with these. Also if you don't want sticky residue then just cover the bottom in masking tape then put the velcrow on top of that.
I'm not a McDonalds burger. It is MkJackary, not Mc'Jackary... It's Em Kay Jackary. Mkay?

Boss spares, they're dirt cheap, but take a while to ship. I have a link somewhere....

    *Edit*

The old type, for pedals like the CE2 with the ACA input, the part number is: 2202711601

For modern/current pedals, the part number is: 22027851R0.

    *Edit 2*

Those might be old numbers, also try:

    5100006633 BOTTOM FOOT (22357305R0)
    5100006632 BOTTOM COVER (22027851R0)

I think the cover is the metal plate, whilst foot is the rubber pad.
