I'd love to get these as they would be perfect for me given my BE100 is my main amp (and I'm looking for a home solution).. but all this plugin software stuff is way over my head.. Is something like Reaper the easiest way to use plugins? I downloaded the Eval version but to be honest I was totally lost.

Nail on the head Si. Some of them can be used on their own but aye just load up a channel on reaper, plug in your guitar, load the plugin and away you go.

Absolutely. I use Logic X and now Bias Desktop which is pretty spot on.

Errmm.... With them being UAD, won't you need a UAD DSP card of some description to run them.... Not really an option for those that don't already use the platform...

No. They're for the UAD platform. Which is a DSP accelerated system. You need to own UAD hardware to run these.. Apollo Twin would probably be the cheapest "in"
