Bloody heavy.

Bloody loud.

Bloody gorgeous. 

Bloody sounds are great.

Bloody changes channel instantaneously. 

Bloody perfectly fitted flightcase Xmas present.

Bloody flexible.

Bloody well not a Dual Rec (which I can't decide is a good or bad thing yet).

Bloody unsure as to how well suited it is to my 339. 

Bloody unsure as to why my Strymons sound odd with this serial loop.

I miss my Dual Rec and not at the same time. I also need to stop watching Friedman JJ clips. I also need to stop looking at that Les Paul Custom in the classifieds.

I think this GAS is terminal, please just perform euthanasia and put me out of the constant nonsense.

Also channel 2 has completely taken over that gritty sound I used to use a SHO for.

What a whinge I am. Not even happy when an amp sounds great.

How does the character of the guitar come through?

That was one of the failings I found with my Diezel. Everything kinda sounded a bit Diezel...

I think that a semi guitar may not be best suited to it Channel 3 & 4. 1 & 2 sounds great but it's a very untypical tone at higher gain.

Have you tried substituting the preamp valves for Russian ones?

It cleaned up my Einstein a lot. Made it less squashy and more open.

The Chinese ones it came with seemed to break up very early in the gain pot travel, and added a very compressed slightly fuzzy sheen to proceedings.

I may try that, but thrn again I'm worried that a semi with lots of gain isn't the best suit. Might just have to get a new Les Paul. :-)

Will know more tomorrow night. It just sounded like the reverb was either really prominent or non existent. It could be a duff cable though. Which reminds me, I need to get some KaBL in my life.

Is there really a vast difference in a serial and parallel loop? I've only been using serial where I've been used to parallel in previous amps.

Have you got killdry off? I always found the loops to be hot and Strymons don't have much headroom for a hot loop. When I play my Diezels I always use rack effects for delay/reverb with serial setting.

with the parallel loop used and the mix dial maxed out and without the killdry option it sounded great! Although I had to lower/raise the mix on certain patches on my Strymons. 

I think I loves it, I just wonder if it's reciprocal.

Also with my Mark V the mix dial being maxed created the most awful hiss and hum but Diezel it's totally silent.
