Which Lexicon Plugin

Hi guys I am going to get a Lexicon plugin but don't know which one is best. PCM Native or LPX I tend to use mainly presets and it's main use will be to enhance my guitar echo's. Any info on these would be appreciated. Thanks Alan

I was looking at these also, word is that there are plugins that are just as good for a lot less money.

I have the LXP and while it sounds as good as the hardware Lexicons I have (LXP-1, Alex and Reflex) , I'd have to say the Valhalla Room and Vintage Verb are at least as good and only $50 apiece.

I demoed the Lexicon plugins over Christmas and they were alright but Exponential Audio were a lot better and I preferred the interface. They do use iLok just as the Lexicon plugins do.

Phoenixverb is beautifully clean, R2 is more coloured. Give them a try, see which one you prefer.

As Spark says, the Valhalla plugins are superb. Sean Costello is an absolute reverb nut and his plugs sound great and have an excellent interface.

I have tried both Lexicon and Exponential Phoenix Verb and i have to admit

i like the Phoenix Verb over the Lexicon.

Just wondering how the R2 will sound compared to the Phoenix?

The Sound on Sound review sums up the difference well. Phoenixverb is more natural, R2 is more artificial character, perhaps more of an 'effect' verb than Phoenixverb. 

Of the two, I want Phoenixverb.

I didn't read the Sound on Sound review but I will.The Phoenixverb is really excellent and I didn't think I would find anything better than Lexicon. I am still working my way through the different reverbs,but I can say now I am definitely buying this.
