Music to speed up a swimmer... bear with me on this!

My 10 y/o daughter is a competitive swimmer and regularly finds herself with a medal around her neck. The one thing that I think she can improve is her stroke rate. My wife came up with the brilliant idea of getting her to sing/hum a song in her head to swim with.

I chose the Ace of Spades but you actually swim slower to that because you bizarrely pick up a slower rhythm despite the song being fast.

Any ideas that would give a popular song with a strong beat of about 100/110 bpm?

When you say improve the stroke rate, what do you mean? Increase it or make it more regular? If its a faster rate you might find its not necessarily quicker as she will need to ensure the same strength of stroke is required. Otherwise she'll just splash about

If its front crawl, maybe Hardest Button to Button is quite a strong rhythm

I find counting 1,2,3,4 at faster or slower rates does it for me.

Then double to find target bpm and get her to swim at half time. My guess is that with ace of spades which is 140bpm she couldnt make 70 strokes per minutes and so was swimming at quarter times (35 strokes per minute).

It looks to me like 120bpm is the most likely target from that chart so you'll have plenty of choice of tunes.

Maybe that weird drill stroke we called "spiral", where you do one stroke on your front then use the pull to turn you over to do the next stroke on your back

I find that a bit of Barry White and a bottle of Malbec helps my swimmers.
