15" speakers.

Whats good?
I had a cab with a 15" Fane,sounded great to me.
I just picked up  a 1x15 cab , looking for recommendations for guita,my amp is a 73 Hiwatt DA112.

  • I built a 1x15 last year and stuck an eminence Big Ben in there. I did fancy the eminence commonwealth but it was twice the price and twice the weight. It's the only 15" I've tried so can't really compare it to anything. I do like it though, it gives a fairly Marshall like voice with overdrive and sits pretty well with the southern rock and bluesy stuff we play.

    The stoner rock guys at the studio like to plug into a 1 x 15" Ampeg we got, no idea what drivers in it but it sounds great for QOTSA type stuff

    Not really sure what the point is, frequency response and low end has much more to do with cab design and the construction of the speaker itself than whether it's a 12" or 15" speaker. Plenty of 5 string basses going through 10" speakers and getting plenty of low end.
