Insure an Impreza Turbo for £168??

:D

Wife's car insurance renewal just came through ...

So, it's a Forester rather than the Impreza saloon, but the performance figures are near-enough the same (Impreza 2.5T is 5.2secs/158mph, whereas the Forester is 5.8secs/134mph, and they share the same engine, same 4wd system, same floorpan.

The aerodynamics are slightly different - the Forester is a brick - and it's currently on soft/off-road tyres, so the cornering isn't quite as glue-like, but when driven "enthusiastically" it has a reasonable turn of pace.

And ... £168 !!

It's one of these - the later Foresters aren't nearly as nippy ...

It's also not as likely to be ragged senseless by boyracers.

Being ragged is fine. Just need to be serviced well. A ragged car is generally a much faster one ime

  • Boy racer driving a Forester ???

I'll bet the insurance company think that's a little unlikely.

My Subaru Legacy GT is due for insuring as we speak, Adrian Flux seemed competitive at about £320, but that's not as good as yours.
Being twin turbo and a Jap import may make a difference to the quote mind.  Similar performance, and a more refined ride, rather than as pointy as an Impreza, and less top heavy than a Forester, oh, and a lot more room in the back for goodies, and loads of fun to drive.   :D

Who is the quote with ?
