Boss Waza Craft SD-1 and BD -1 - which has more mids?

I just got the Boss OD1X and it's very good.  I'm using it as my main OD into my Cube Lite, which I play clean.

I always boost my main OD with another pedal and am going to get either one of these and am wondering which one has more mids - the SD-1 or BD-1?

I have the BD 2 waza, it doesn't seem too heavy on the mids, like a tube screamer is.

In the custom setting, more low end is introduced to really thicken it up.

If they're anything like the originals, the SD-1, by a lot. The BD-2 is quite scooped by comparison.

  • Cheers guys.

I will probably go for the SD-1 then.

I did own an SD-1 a few years back but couldn't remember how it was voiced.

@Pete24v  have you compared the Waza BD2 with a normal BD-2?

not directly, i did have a standard one in the 90's.. flogged it after a few months for a tube screamer. This new Waza version does sound nice though!
