Are Jet City pedals any good?

Love my Jet City amps but I've noticed they make stomp boxes too. Are they any good? They've got a little range - all the essentials. They're not bad prices either.

I'm looking for a new distortion pedal. I currently have a DigiTech Hot Head but find that it's too... hot.

So I've been looking at theirs. It's called the Shockwave Distortion. 

Obviously YouTube can tell me some, experienced owners can tell me more!

I'm not familiar with the shockwave but i have the Afterburner overdrive unit and I love it. Good sound with lots of options to tweak plus added bonus of the boost. Metal construction and very solid & feels damn well made. Only cost me $50 in the USA too when they were £80 here. Not sure I've seen anything Jet City that is naff. They do what they do well.

Awesome. Yeah, I've been looking at the Afterburner as well. I'm pretty happy with my Bad Monkey. That said, I'd love to have a boost. I don't have stacks of room on my pedal board. So I'd consider getting both potentially - the Shockwave and the Afterburner.

See the above youtube demo of them both side by side if yu not already come across that. I reckon you can get the afterburner to cover both bases just by tweaking amp gain/pedal for whatever sound you are chasing. Might be an idea to check that out and if you still feel you are missing something then also get the shockwave too.

Ahhh there's only a $20 price difference between the two pedals. So I guess I'll have to have a go when I go back to the shop if they've got them in stock!

I almost didn't bother watching it because I saw it was Tone King. And his tone is uhm... in a lot of the videos it leaves a lot to be desired?

haha...yeh you are right but it does give an appreciation of pedal against pedal even if the tone sucks

IIRC finding them over here was not that easy but that was about 2/3 years ago i picked mine up

I've got a Shockwave. Honestly? I'm a great fan of Jet City gear, but I found it a bit "meh". If it had a proper bass/mid/treble stack it could be really good, but I found it had a choice of muddy dirt or fizzy dirt, and not a lot in between.

Couldn't give a rats about the cricket and I'm not a beer drinker so I guess that's off the cards then haha
