Do you have pics of the Lie Nielsen planes?

I'd be potentially interested in both of them but I'd like to see condition, esp the sole.
    Any drops or damage?

I'm assuming the Jack is a No 5 and the Block plane is the Low Angle, right?

    Where are you located?

    I'm in Northampton.

They've been used and could probably do with sharpening, but there's no damage I'm aware of - I'll check them over and take some photos tomorrow (batteries needed for camera).

Great- can I have first dibs on them then?
Sharpening is no problem- I'd rather not have to do hours of lapping the sole though.

you can - I've just had a quick look and there's nothing but very light scratching on either of them - nothing that you would consider as damage or excessive wear and tear.

I did find another L-N block plane while I was checking them, an LN 103, also for sale for £50, same condition.

Is the 102 bronze or iron body?

    103 is bronze, right?
I'm probably more after the 102 and maybe the Jack plane- I already have a LN No 4 1/2 smoothing plane and it is an amazing bit of kit.

Yes, I have a few LN planes, although I mostly go for Veritas these days.
Get back with some pics and we can arrange a collection.

    Sorry Spork.
I won't have the 103 so I guess that is still up for grabs.

    Ok, they look pretty good.
Do you have a straight edge you can get across the sole?

I'm in West London (W3) so Northhampton is about an hour or so drive.
Are you close to the M40?

Maybe we continue this in PM?

The main thing for me is a straight sole- as in flat across all dimensions- length, width and diagonal.
It isn't a huge problem if it isn't but it will mean me spending time I don't have to flatten them.
    It isn't a dealbreaker though.

I'll bring a straight edge with me when we meet anyway but if you can check then it helps.
