Nominations for my main drive pedal

I love rats but have one. I'm building a small board so what else are great alternatives for high gain but not metal?

Are you a humbucker guy or a single-coil player?  Many pedals work best on specific pickup types.
The Marshall Governor is a great pedal for humbuckers, whilst the Emma Stinkbug was born for single coils.  Of course an OCD covers all basses.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • I'm also quite keen to get on which has a volume boost 2 in 1 jobbie.
Any thoughts on the Fulltone G-500 or the Bognor Red?
