has anyone tried/or owns a EHX Deluxe Big Muff?

Looking into getting my muff to cut through the mix more in my band for solos in particular, and noted that EHX do a deluxe big muff with an additional footswitch that brings a mid control/eq section into play.
Has anyone tried or own one of these? What are they like? Do they help you cut through more than the standard muff.. which I dearly love but is getting lost when I go for that all important solo!
