Any ideas? The Parcelforce website sucks and says a guitar is too big. It's Parcelforce. They have lorries. Surely it's possible. Help gratefully appreciated.

    I'd use WeDeliverTheWorld instead.

But of the options presented I would check who doesn't have specific exclusions/insurance limits for shipping musical instruments

First suggestion is don't use Parcelforce. they use the cheaper options for delivery in the destination country and their tracking is bloody awful.. In all honesty I would try someone like Interparcel, Parcelsplease, Transglobal etc who use UPS. They tend to be cheaper and more reliable.

Parcelforce do not insure guitars for more then 150 quid. They'll take your money for insurance but will not pay out.

I'd just check with @GavHaus it's not the same guy in Germany he sold his Tele to first!
He may also be able to tell you the best courier option

Cheers all. I will check them all out and see who to use. Parcelforce are a joke. Any alternative must be better. I'll try the alternatives you've suggested. Thanks

    UPS with Pharosparcel .
Or interparcel if it's worth less than a grand.

Has to be in a case .

Parcelforce don't insure guitars, even In cases.

    Simplified for accuracy.

Never use Parcel Farce, like others have said, they'll charge you for insurance and then not pay out when they find out it's a musical instrument.. Should it be damaged or lost whilst in their 'care'

Yeah thats a bit of a calamity. I feel for him

For courier UPS are usually pretty good.
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • Interparcel were great for posting. Fully tracked, fully insured to £750, cost £41.

^ This, they use UPS, but are cheaper (don't know how that works) I've used them a number of times for shipping guitars and not had a problem.
