  • I have a ZVex Super Hard On which I absolutely love into Marshalls and Voxes but found a touch shrill with my Princeton.

Just bought  TC Spark—haven't gigged it yet and only messed around with it a bit, but not blown away so far.

I think an EQ pedal is useful as a clean boost. If you push all the sliders up the same amount (or just the level control if it has one) you get a flat boost, but if you need to adjust EQ as well, obviously you can. I think that's what I'm going to use on my board. I've got the Joyo EQ and the discontinued Danelectro Fish & Chips, which are both dirt cheap and decent.
My YouTube channel, Half Speed Solos: classic guitar solos demonstrated at half speed with scrolling tab and no waffle.

  • It's an expensive choice but I find my lazy J cruiser deuce a great clean boost and overdrive. As long as you like the sound of you amp things just get better with this pedal :)
