how wrong have I gone already? - wiring questions

I've attempted to draw a diagram of what I've wired so far, there is a momentary killswitch on the volume pot and the Tone is going to be a Push/Push coil tap or split. (Which would you advise)
I've gone as far as my knowledge will allow me, and tried to work as much out as I can. will happily redo most of it if it's wrong. I am up doing it at 2:30am ffs!

Please tell me if the diagram is indecipherable, and I'll take pictures of the control cavity. I've *tried* to keep my wiring tidy so far, so it might be easier to see...

I haven't touched the pickups yet, but its Ash's green, white, red, black and bare wiring.

The cap is a 104, 0.1uF one I believe

And I'm pretty sure both pots are 500k

Its quite wrong at the moment. Your volume is wired backwards and you need to move the cap to the middle lug, the 3rd lug is not used on a tone control.

Get it working without the split or kill switch first

Also neither pot is grounded, I wouldn't wire all your ground connections to the lug on the volume, put them all together on the back or side of a pot

then add this after you have the rest working - but you can wire it to the volume control like you have shown above, as long as the switch connects the live signal to the ground it will work

My wiring code is the same as Gibson's: 

Slug coil start = red

Slug coil finish = white

Screw coil start=black

screw coil finish = green

in other words the white and green are the series link ... and black and bare are 'ground' while red is 'hot'

Okay, now I have a nasty ground hun that changes along with which way the guitar points, pickup selection and tone control. I can cut it using the killswitch. Any ideas?

Nasty hums are almost always an earth wire missing somewhere. Follow all components including the bridge and verify that there is an earth connected
