FX loop hum question

I am running a Free Tone Switcher on my board with a mixer and a TC G Force in the loop. When the midi cable is connected I get a higher pitched hum. I have ordered an Ebtech but I wondered if anyone on here can offer some help please?

    If it's genuine ground loop hum (which it doesn't sound like it is actually, if it's high-pitched as you say) then the ebtech hum eliminator will completely sort it.
