I've got 11 guitars waiting to be fixed ! I shall rest over the weekend and then see if I can get on with stuff on Monday.

No peace for the self-employed, and I'm not a huge fan of Quavers ;)

home from the op with a hand that has to remain bandaged for six weeks !  I've even got a sling, but I'm sure that's going to get boring quickly ;)

a busy 6 weeks sitting round in your pants masturbating and eating quavers then?
One simply doesn't need an operation to partake in such pass times.

  • I think its a case of any excuse
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I would question your choice of snack. I'd recommend a strong blue cheese on some nice crackers.

I've had some cheese and onion Kettle crisps since getting home (and some soup).

Whatever they used to numb my hand is doing a mighty job, I can still only feel my thumb and first two fingers ( though I am starting to be aware of a little more feeling returning) I'm hoping it isn't going to be excruciating when it all comes back ;)

no, they said paracetamol should be enough - so I'm assuming from that it won't be too bad - up until now the most painful bit was a local anaesthetic injection on Tuesday and a sore arm from the Tetanus jab.

    surely campari and orange juice...?

also...nice NPD even though you had to have an op, at least you had a new pedal to come home to.

finally got round to plugging this in (finger still wrapped up so just noodling about) and . . . wow!

I also had the Pitch Fork (with an expression pedal attached) plugged in and between the two of them it was only my feet going to sleep from sitting cross-legged on the floor that stopped me playing.

They covered everything from "that's nice" to "lucky I wasn't drinking a hot cup of coffee when it did that!" and that was mostly without the fuzz engaged - I'll save that for another day.

I'll endeavour one day to put up some samples so you can enjoy it too :)

This video really makes me want one !

I'll have to be careful not to watch any more of his vids or it might get expensive (the Count To Five one was what sold me on that too)

although I'm beginning to hope that as the two of them will do so many wacky things I might be able to spend more time playing and less time browsing for new stuff - you never know !

After getting pins and needles sitting on the floor (and watching a mate swinging the headstock of my guitar around alarmingly every time he altered something on it) I've come up with a new set up for tinkering with the BitQuest!, or any other new pedal I might want to spend time getting to know.
