I'm just wondering what others use to carry the multi-fx boards around?

I'm thinking a laptop bag might do the trick for my ME-50. Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Power tool case, which should be available from B&Q or similar. Yes, I've seen it done.

I had an ME-50 and used a camera hard case from Jessops (£18) and it was big enough for leads and 2 latch pedals.
I also inherited a power tool case that was very sturdy, plus the top unclipped at the hinges leaving the unit still in the bottom of the case for protection on stage.

Old Line6 POD XT bags are good too (got mine new for £20 when Sound Control were selling them off).

Thanks for the ideas. Looking round I think one of these is as cheap as anything else out there:

    or the Vox one

Not sure about postage as they hide it until you have fed in your details.

    Should do the job nicely.

  • I have one of these you can have for not much - can keep your cables in the front.

I have a Thomann keyboard bag knocking around. It's pretty big, but if it suits your needs, it'd only be £10 posted. How big you need it?

the quality of those cases, based on what I have seen, is basically the same as a laptop one so if you can pick up one of those cheaper and its the right size why not.

Little briefcase type toolbox for me - had (well, still have it stashed in the garage) a giant flightcase board but since downsizing I've used the little toolcase to great success. I made a two tier board out of ply that fits inside perfectly and it helps keep my pedal gas in check too as its just so convenient in that small package. Looking for some Mooers to fill some little gaps though!

Thanks for the ideas and offers. I could do with getting one sooner rather than later so will go shopping for something at the weekend.

That's very generous Eric. WB is not a million miles away and I do really appreciate the gesture. I'm sure I'll be able to pick something up given the multitude of suggestions though and am happy to spend a few quid.

    Top Man - Thanks

Apart from guitar cases, I've tried to have an open mind with regard to sourcing cases for stuff.

If you look about there are cases for general purposes in markets which don't demand the specialists premium. Ok so they are not full on flight cases but with a small amount of modification they do the job perfectly, you just need to keep your eyes open when being dragged around the shops, Argos, B&Q, TK Maxx.

    b-(

There are tough beauticians cases, don't laugh, some even look like small flight cases, they don't have to be pink, as ETW has offered, laptop cases, tool bags, they're tough and cheaper. I find TK Maxx has a weird assortment of cases and rucksacs which might do the job.

I'm big into 'soft' camping (motorhome) and all the electronics bits like TV, radio, ipad, DVR, tools, guitar amp and multi effects! are all cased up in tough bags or cases just for ease of handling.

    Good luck.

I use fishing bags for lugging stuff around. They are usually padded and durable and cheapish to

I need something for my Zoom G3X

I wrap it in a towl / bubble wrap then put it in a small ruck sack - not ideal.
